Just a proper bit of metal to hold on tight to your bars. Handmade. Brazed. Steel. Colour-matched to your Starling frame. It even has a pair of beautiful, understated and stainless Starlings on the faceplate as a subtle nod to the brand.

The Starling Clutch Stem is the perfect partner for your Starling frame. Built tough by expert hands in Taiwan and then finished here in Bristol with a powder coat that’ll match your bike.
You want it in Anodic Bronze? Done. Powder Pink? Go on then. Legacy colour from your 2021 frame? You got it. It’s even available in a less-spotted RAW IPA finish.
And if you ever fancy a colour change, we’ll repaint it. If you’re in for a frame refurb down the line, we’ll do the stem for free at the same time.
Why make a stem?
Because no one else was making one that quite fitted Starling style.
Everything else is made to hit weight numbers, designed by marketing, or just plain boring.
We wanted a stem that felt like a Starling: unique, solid and with a proper bit of soul. So we built one.

Need it to be extra tidy? We’re doing matching stainless steel spacers too. 1.5mm thick, 10mm height, stainless and with the same outside diameter as the stem for that clean stacked look. They’re £7 a pop. Don’t cheap out now!
