Attention niche bike fans! If our single-speed Beady Little Eye wasn’t weird enough for you, we’ve just made it even nichier!
We’ve taken our 90mm travel, single-speed Beady Little Eye and modded the design to take gears.
The Gearie Little Eye (it’s a working title k?) uses a modifed swingarm that adds a UDH mech-hanger, allowing you to run gears.
Aside from the gears, this oddball is exactly the same as the Beadie. It still has 90mm rear travel, pivots around the bottom bracket, and rides almost exactly the same way.

Like the single-speed version, it’s a short, firmly-damped, just-enough-travel rocket that’s super poppy, super springy, and super rewarding. There’s no flattery with this one; it’s raw, fast, and rowdy.
Think of it more like a hardtail with a bit of squish than a conventional full suspension. It’s an odd-ball, niche-of-a-niche bike and we love it.
The mod is a permanent fix, so it can’t be switched back to single-speed (or vice versa), but you could switch to a single-speed swing arm if you really want.
We built the prototype you see here for Starling staffer Noah as a one-off. He loves it so much we decided to make it a thing, as part of our Rare collection. We don’t expect to sell loads, but, we’d love to give a few misfits and odd-balls out there a chance to own one!
If you want one, you’ve got till the end of October to get your order in.
Get in touch direct to order, or view the Beady Little Eye page for more info.
